Continuous Improvement

An Iterative
Process
The QLR process integrates the
key elements for continuous improvement. Quantitative and
qualitative data are collected, organized, and analyzed to plan and
implement improvement actions, monitor and study the results, and
take adjusted action. The cyclical process includes:
-
mapping the data-based current
situation;
-
selecting high-impact improvement
opportunities;
-
establishing goals and success
measures;
-
designing plans to guide the
improvement processes;
-
developing knowledge and skill
for implementing selected improvement opportunities;
-
aligning district, school, and
classroom functions, structures, and processes with district
goals;
-
establishing a schedule for
ongoing progress review and adjusted action;
-
managing and integrating new
learning gained in the improvement processes; and
-
celebrating successes.
