About Us

QLR was founded by
Larry Vaughn and
Doris Fassino. The duo draws upon decades
of successful education experience in classroom teaching,
district and school leadership, university teaching,
consulting, and business. They are joined by a team of
associates with specialty knowledge, skill, and expertise to
address specific needs of districts and schools. Client
organizations have access to the full range of associates.
QLR founders and
associates have spent their careers in districts and schools
with long histories of achievement challenges,
infrastructure difficulties, and scarce resources. These
experiences provided rich opportunities for learning to do
more with less, faster. The results launched trend data for
improved student achievement, achievement gap reduction
among student sub-groups, and greater organizational
efficiency.
QLR was created to
accelerate the adoption of principles, practices, and tools
of systemic reform and continuous improvement within the
school setting for the benefit of improving learning for
students and adults. QLR shares the collective
learning of dedicated, mission-driven educators who have
scouted and applied proven improvement practice for over
four decades.
